Blacksmiths Merlot
A concentrated core of rich berry fruit, matured in French and American oak for 13 months further enhancing the harmony of the rich berry notes.
During the late 1800s, early 1900s, the only way of working a vineyard was by horse and plough. Just as important as the draft horse, was of course the blacksmith. Through their hard work, dedication and care of the horses, the blacksmith role has contributed significantly in the creation of many of the earlier vineyards of Australia. This wine is dedicated to all the draft horses and blacksmiths, without which many of Australia's vineyards would not be here today. We would also like to pay tribute to our working working horse Harry, who in 1929, help to establish Jadran's vineyard at the foot of the Darling ranges in Western Australia.
The label features award-winning paintings by John Baldock "Harry and the Blacksmith"
